In 1979, Gretzky and Gordie Howe became pro-linemates for the first time, when Gretzky centered Gordie (and son Mark) on the WHA All Star Team against the touring team Moscow Dynamo as part of a three game series. Gretzky scored two goals during Game One, a 4-2 win for the WHA.
