In 1981, playing in his 117th NHL game, Wayne Gretzky scored two goals and two assists, to give him 200 career points. The milestone came in a 6-3 Oilers' win against the Washington Capitals in Edmonton.

In 1984 Edmonton's Wayne Gretzky scored his seventh hat trick of the season, including his 50th goal of the season for the 5th straight year, in just his 42nd game, as the Oilers beat the Hartford Whalers, 5-3. It was Gretzky's 25th career hat trick.
