In 1984, Edmonton's Wayne Gretzky scored twice to give him 350 career NHL goals and picked up three assists as the Oilers won 12-2 over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

In 1987, Wayne Gretzky becomes only the fourth player in NHL history to score 1,500 points with a goal and three assists, all in the third period, against Detroit. The milestone came in his 620th career game, as the Oilers beat Detroit 6-3 for their 7th straight home win over the Red Wings.
