In 1985, Edmonton's Wayne Gretzky picked up his 700th and 701st career assists, as the Oilers won 8-5 at Los Angeles. The milestone assists came in Gretzky's 478th career game.

In 1993, Wayne Gretzky scored a goal and added two assists in the first ever NHL game featuring two Gretzky brothers. Wayne played against his 21-year-old brother Brent (in his second NHL game), as the Kings won 4-3 at Tampa Bay.
